2010 RCYC Founders Regatta Sonic BoomThe Founders Regatta's is Jamaica Me Crazy's first for the year! JMC's strong showing brings her first season's regatta, overtaking the early leaders Hey Jude and Planet B.  Full Tilt Boogie is second for the weekend, Planet B is third.

The overall standings change little as the fleet is out in force again this weekend.

In the midst of Toronto's G20 mayhem,  12 participants braved the elements, police and coast guard Toronto Harbour overzelous patrolling.  The regatta was punctuated by unusual wind shifts, hazy, variable wind, and only one race on Saturday due to poor wind. A total of 4 races were started.  Planet B's two first place finishes, was marred by a black flag DSQ, which also affected Hey Jude on Sunday's second race.  The absence of the two season's leaders, for that race was not wasted by Jamaica Me Crazy and Full Tilt Boogie.  Remarkable this weekend was the srong showing of all competitors, new and old to the fleet.

This year's Founders edition also featured the hospitality of Vicky Hall, Peter Hall and crew of the Jamaica Me Crazy, which hosted an informal get together, well attended and exquisitely catered by Vicky and members of her crew.  Once again the bar has been set high for the next social event organizers! Check out the photo album link for some pics of the event. Thank you guys, it was terrfic!
