Hey Jude at 2009 Canadian ChampionshipsFleet 4 and CORK are proud to welcome the J105 Fleet for the 2010 Canadian Championships, August 27-29 as part of CORK Offshore in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

5-08-2010 The forms for compliance at the Canadians have been updated are attached and posted on the J/105 Canadian's website.  There will be no formal
measurement process with the exception of spot inspections during the regatta.  Each owner will be responsible for submitting the attached forms (Crew Waiver, Minimum Required Equipment and Owner Sign Off with sail tag numbers) to the CORK Registration office in Kingston prior to 9 AM on the first day of Racing (Preferably before hand to my attention via email in PDF). Also, boats that do not have valid boat weight certificate should speak to Dan O'Dwyer.

The crew weigh in, as posted in the Notice or Race, will occur in Kingston from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday Aug 26 and 8 to 9 AM on Friday Aug 27 at the CORK registration Area at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.

The Annual Championship Dinner is scheduled for Saturday Aug 28 at Kingston Yacht Club.  The cost will be $100 per boat for six tickets. Extra tickets will be available for $20 Each. I will need to be confirm the exact #s one week before the event.  I will assume all boats registered will be attending the dinner and please let me know if you require extra tickets. 

The Notice of Race ("NOR") for the 2010 Canadian Championship and the Appendix for J/105s has been posted on the CORK website.

25-07-2010: The J-105 Canadian Champs are only one month away and we have +10 boats confirmed!   Kingston offers some of the best fresh water sailing in the world with South West 15 knot thermals and warm waters that attract crews from all over the world - not to mention the great restaurants and bars!.    Post race socials are planned for each night following racing and we have our annual, not to be missed, Championship dinner on Saturday Aug 28 at Kingston Yacht Club.

The Feeder Race from Toronto to Kingston is set for Friday Aug 20 with a start time of approximately 12 Noon - Robert Baker will be circulating the SIs shortly.

DOCKING: Information regarding docking before, during and after the Championship is included in the NOR and if you have not made arrangements for docking before and after the Championships I would encourage you to do so ASAP with they City of Kingston. The deposit is only one nights docking (further information is in the NOR). Docking during the Championships at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour is included in the registration fee and will be reserved with your registration.

: Information is provided in the NOR Appendix.

SOCIAL: This years Saturday night social event will be held at the Kingston Yacht Club - If you have not done so already, please let me know if you think you will be attending - I would like to give the club a rough idea of numbers.

Please note, the J105 Canadians Feeder Race to Kingston Sailing Instructions (SI's). differ greatly from those of day racing events. You are instructed to carefully reading and understand these SIs thoroughly, including but not limited to the Self recording policy, fixed starting time, the use of engines, finish deadline and crew waiver and registration.
